Youth and Community

Youth work is about helping young people to learn about themselves, others and society. Youth and community workers also help the wider community to come together to make things better. It’s a skilled profession, and this course qualifies you to work in an exciting and demanding range of jobs.

You are probably already working with young people or community groups – maybe as a volunteer – and you’re interested in gaining both an honours degree and the recognised professional qualification. This course has been developed with people like you in mind; it’s professionally validated by the National Youth Agency on behalf of the Joint Negotiating Committee for youth and community workers. It is part of a select national network of professionally validated courses that guarantee the highest-quality youth work training for its students. The course was set up with the support of professionals who provide student placements and guest lectures.
