Glyndŵr University

Glyndŵr University started in 2008 so we’re still one of the youngest universities in the UK. We’re named after a Welsh scholar and hero called Owain Glyndŵr and we aim to champion some of the same philosophies as him. The university sets out to be bold, enterprising and open to all in everything that it does. We’ve been delivering education at our main Wrexham campus since 1887, when we were known as the Wrexham School of Science and Art. We started offering degrees in 1924.

London South Bank University

London South Bank University (LSBU) is a public university located in London, United Kingdom. With over 25,000 students and 1,700 staff, it is based in the London Borough of Southwark, near the South Bank of the River Thames, from which it takes its name. Founded from charitable donations in 1892 as the "Borough Polytechnic Institute", it absorbed several other local colleges in the 1970s and 1990s, and achieved university status in 1992. LSBU is a post-1992 or new university and puts strong focus on their students' employability.

Plymouth University

High academic standards

Plymouth has performed very well in all teaching reviews carried out by external bodies since 1996.

The University has a long record of high quality innovative research as demonstrated by its achievements in the RAE. The university submitted twenty-five Units of Assessment in the 2008 RAE. The results show that the majority of research submitted by the university included world-leading research, achieving the highest rating possible - scoring 4-stars. Overall, 80% of the research was judged as being of international repute.
